Qualification Objectives:
ACCA qualification is based on international accounting standards and global best practice performance management systems. You can choose from optional, variant and adapted papers safe in the knowledge that the end qualification will be of one globally accepted standard.
Passing the exam is a huge achievement. However, it is only half the story. You will also need to gain three-year' practical experience before, during or after your studies to achieve membership.

The ACCA Qualification is designed to provide the accounting knowledge, skills and professional values, which will deliver finance professionals who are capable of building successful careers across all sectors, whether they are working in the public or private sectors, practicing in accounting firms, or pursuing a career in business.
In order to qualify as an ACCA member, you will complete:-
§ 14 exams (up to nine of which are eligible for exemption)
§ Relevant practical experience, with a minimum of three years.
§ A Professional Ethics module.
The ACCA Qualification embeds the global accounting education standards set by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). There is a strong focus on professional values, ethics, and governance. These skills are examined at the highest level in the ACCA Qualification and are a core element of your practical experience requirements.
You will need to complete 14 papers in total. Those papers are:

Relevant degree holders may be exempted from a number of exams within the Fundaments Level, as may holders of certain other professional or academic qualifications. (See exemptions sections below).

Al Azhar General Secondary School Certificate Insufficient for ACCA Registration
Technical Secondary School Certificate Insufficient for ACCA Registration

Diploma (from an intermediate institute) Sufficient for ACCA Registration
Entry to ACCA is pe4rmitted for any student with sufficient work experience, even with no academic requirements. Mature Entry Students must pass the equivalent of Papers F2, Management Accounting and F3, Financial Accounting within two years before further progression to the ACCA exams is permitted.
ACCA will be able to award exemptions, depending on how closely your previous qualifications match the content of the ACCA Syllabus.

The ACCA Qualification is designed to be flexible. You can take a maximum of four exams every six months and combining this with working full-time would also mean that you are gaining the practical experience requirements also necessary for membership. Depending on your previous qualifications and relevant practical experience, you can complete the qualification much more quickly. A graduate with a relevant degree and a couple of years relevant experience could complete the qualification as little as one or two years.
Upon registration, you will be asked to pay an initial subscription fee. Then on 1 January each year, an annual subscription fee will be due. As you enter for exams or claim exemptions, a payment will be requested.
The following fees are applicable in 2009 (in GBP and are subject to change without written notice).

1st. Installment: 50% upon registration (L.E. 950) + L.E. 100 for registration.
2nd. Installment: 50% after three weeks from the date of beginning the course, (L.E.950).
CAAT Special Discounts

§ 15% discount for companies delegating more than ten candidates.
§ 5% discount in case of full advance payment.
CAAT Cancellation Policy
§ 100% refund in case of cancellation before the beginning of the course.
§ 50% refund in case of cancellation within the first two weeks from the date of beginning the course.
§ CAAT registration fees (L.E. 100), will be deducted in both of the above cases.
